HOW TO CREATE ASSETS AND MODIFY UNAVAILABILITY

Creation Date: April 15, 2024

TicketingHub equips you with the power to manage a diverse range of assets, from guides, vehicles, boats, escape rooms, and much more. This tutorial will guide you through the process of adding and managing assets on TicketingHub. We'll also delve into making your assets unavailable for bookings, which comes in handy when they're under maintenance or temporarily off sale.

QUICK LINKS: Managing Assets
1. Activate Assets
2. Add Assets
3. Set Unavailability

ACTIVATE ASSETS

1. Click on Settings

2. Click on Features

3. Click on Assets

4. Check switch to enable the assets feature

Once you enable the Assets feature, you'll find 'Assets' pinned to your dashboard sidebar.

ADD ASSETS

5. Dashboard Menu > Click on Assets

6. Click on Assets

7. Click on New Asset

8. Type in the name of your new asset

9. Set the limit or capacity

10. Enable shareability and privacy settings

Shared between events- This indicates whether an asset can be simultaneously used for different events, like a boat being used for two separate bookings. If an asset is not private, other bookings can occur for the same product, but the asset will be inaccessible for any other product.

Private - If an asset is set to private, it will be unavailable for other bookings that may require an asset. On the contrary, a public asset can be utilized for multiple bookings until it reaches its capacity limit.

11. Click on Advanced to access Asset Type

12. Optional: Set asset type

This denotes the kind of asset, such as a table, room, kayak, or VR experiences. Here, a second asset's capacity can help to book beyond the capacity limit of a first asset.

For example, if a Room has a capacity of 6, and a booking is made for 7 people, then this booking will utilize two assets (Room 1 + Room 2).

13. Click on Create Asset

SET UNAVAILABILITY

14. Dashboard > Assets > Click on Asset Unavailability

15. Click on Add unavailability

16. Select the asset you want to make unavailable

17. Set the time period of unavailability

18. Click on Add unavailability

19. Tada! 🎉 You have just set an asset unavailable.
